The Sunday Salon: Back Online!

Hello Saloners! I’ve missed a few Sundays due to the lightening strike, but I’m back online now with my new computer at home. It’s been a busy few weeks, trying to get everything replaced, hooked up and things re-arranged. My reading time has suffered as a result, but I’m hoping things return to normal this week.

It’s still fairly early but so far I’ve had a pleasant start to my day. I read for a few hours this morning while drinking my morning coffee and I put some spare ribs in the slow cooker for dinner and the house is already smelling delicious! The book I read this morning was DRIVING SIDEWAYS. I hope to finish it in the next day or two. I can’t wait to write the review and I know that probably sounds odd, given I haven’t finished the book yet. But there are so many things I want to say about this book. It has cracked me up! I was reading the other day at my office during my lunch hour and I got to laughing and I couldn’t stop! People were looking at me strangely.

I received an email from Library Thing the other day saying I was chosen to review anotherbook for the Early Reviewers. In the three months I’ve been a member, I’ve been chosen twice. This months book is called MY HUSBAND’S SWEETHEARTS by Bridget Ashley. According the LT, it was the most requested Early Review book this month. It sounds wickedly interesting. But first I’ve got to finish DRIVING SIDEWAYS, which should be in a day or so.

I’m going to go now and see what the rest of you are reading today. See you on the blogs!

  4. I know what you mean about wanting to write the review even before you are finished reading the book. I write my reviews as I read, and just save them as drafts on blogger, then post them when I'm finally done reading.

Very cool on grabbing a copy of My Husband's Sweethearts. Happy reading :o)

  5. Jill - With Driving Sideways, I've been keeping notes as I go. Things I dont' want to forget for the review. I'll look for your review of MHS.

John - I've been fortunate to have liked most of the ARC's I've received. 900 on your TBR list?? My Goodness!!

FP - I'll remember you when I post my review of MHS!

Naida - That's interesting that you write as you go. I make notes, but I wait until I've finished to complile the notes and complete the review.
