Teaser Tuesdays

Each week TEASER TUESDAYS asks you to:
Grab your current read.
Let the book fall open to a random page.
Share with us two (2) “teaser” sentences from that page, somewhere between lines 7 and 12.
You also need to share the title of the book that you’re getting your “teaser” from … that way people can have some great book recommendations if they like the teaser you’ve given!
Please avoid spoilers!

When Kit was born, Elizabeth kept her paternity a secret from the authorities. Not out of shame, but because she was afraid that the baby would be taken from her and sent to Germany to be raised.

This from a fellow Guernsey islander explaining the fear for a child born during the Occupation.

  1. Wow, that one pulls you right into wanting to know more. :)

  2. Consider me teased, now I really want this book!

  3. It's got my interest now! And what a curious title, too.

  4. Great teaser - and not something I've ever considered before, but I'll bet there are some people who purposely left off information from birth certificates. . .

    Here's my teaser!

  5. I so want to read this book! Thanks for the teaser.

    My teasers are here.

  6. This is on my wish list, too. I'm glad I'm not the only one who still hasn't read it.

Great Teaser ... sets the scene right away.

  7. Now I'm listening to the audio book during commute! This book is perfectly made for audio. :o)

Thank you so much for taking the time to leave a comment! I look forward to hearing from you again soon!
