Library Loot July 8-14

Library Loot is a weekly event co-hosted by Eva (A Striped Armchair) and Marg (Reading Adventures) to encourage book bloggers to share the books they've checked out from the library. If you'd like to participate, simply link your post using Mr. Linky any time during the week. Eva is hosting this week. It's a great way to share books!

Here's my Library Loot for the week:

I usually don't take out this many books at a time, but I think I ended up with good variety to choose from. I spen
t a couple hours just browsin
g and it was so enjoyable. Most of the time I'm in such a hurry that I just run in and run out, but I didn't want to do that today. I'm really looking forward to diving into these books!

What books did you borrow this week?

  1. I enjoyed No One You Know; it's the only one of yours I've read! That last cover is really intriguing.

  4. The Night Gardener isn't that great, Pelecanos is a bit hit and miss for me. However, Drama City and The Big Blowdown are good (haven't read the rest of the D.C. Quartet).

  5. You've got several in there that I want to read. I read The Night Gardener years ago and remember enjoying it a lot.

  6. I had a friend that gave me the first four of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency and my wife zoomed right through them. Now she has read all of the series, including the latest. Myself, I'm too wrapped up in reading Agatha Christie and Michael Connelly right now, and, oh, Donald E. Westlake.

Pelecanos: I've read a few and like the grittiness of his work, but I'm such a stickler for reading series in order. Is this one part of a series?
