The other book I'm reading this week is THE TRIUMPH OF DEBORAH by Eva Etzioni-Halevy. The book was released this week, and I've read several positve reviews already. I only started reading it yesterday, but I was quickly drawn into the story and its characters. This surprised me as I've never read Biblical Fiction before.
Last week was a very productive book week for me. At the beginning of the week, I finished reading IN COLD BLOOD by Truman Capote. I'll have my thoughts on that book this week. I posted a review of MURDER MELTS IN YOUR MOUTH by Nancy Martin on Friday. You can read that review here. I also participated in some weekly events:
- Musing Mondays - Hosted by Just One More Page
- Teaser Tuesdays - Hosted by Should Be Reading
- These Books Were Made For Walking - Hosted monthly by Strumpet
- Booking Through Thursday - Hosted by Should be Reading
- THE TRIUMPH OF DEBORAH by Eva Etzioni-Halevy
- RUN FOR YOUR LIFE by James Patterson and Michael Ledwidge
- THE ASSOCIATE by John Grisham
This award is given to either newbie blogs or blogs that are new to you. I'm so glad Kaye found my blog and I found hers! Thank you so much Kaye! Now I get to pass this award on to 5 other bloggers who are new to me. And they are:

Hi Lisa, thank you so much for your kind words about my friend Barbara. It really helps to have someone as kind and caring as yourself be there and reach out as you did. It is much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThat short tribute did not even begin to do justice to her. What does your Mom call her potato recipe?
Congratulations on your award!

ReplyDeleteI loved The Triumph of Deborah. I've got Jane Eyre coming up for my Classics Challenge and I'm anxious to read it. Not sure if it'll be the first one I read or not but either way I'm excited. I'll be watching for your review.
ReplyDeleteLisa,
ReplyDeleteThanks so much for the award!! I enjoyed reading your recap for the week. You've inspired me to read a classic at bedtime too!! What a clever way to sneak in another book!! I think I will use this time to read Gone With the Wind. I'm reading it with Matt from A Guy's Moleskine Notebook. Reading along with someone else is always enjoyable!!!
Congrats on your award Lisa, and thank you for passing it on to me! I also really enjoyed The Triumph of Deborah. I can't wait to see your final thoughts when you are done with it.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the well-deserved award! I'm looking forward to your thoughts on The Triumph of Deborah as it's in my TBR pile.
